This tree was the first painting in the Emergence Tree series, an on-going collection of tree art based on south west Australian trees.

I was inspired to paint these trees by walking underneath the beautiful mature trees in Gelorup, WA. The colourful background is applied first and once that has dried, I paint using white in the area that surrounds the trees. Gradually a tree emerges from nothing.

The original painting has sold.
