Examples of my watercolour pet portrait art style

Capture the essence of your furry friend with a custom pet portrait. Place your order today!

I use high quality professional watercolour paints and 100% cotton paper to make your painting. I like to add patterns in the background, usually with flowers and geometric designs depending on what suits your particular photograph, so I’d love to know what favourite flowers to paint as well.

How it works

1. Contact me

Fill in the form on this page to learn more about ordering your custom pet portrait.

Find your best pet photos for me to work from.

TIP: Take your photo from a few angles, getting down to the pet’s level and non-blurry, clear photos are best.

I also like to know a little about your pet’s personality and I use your favourite flowers for some background interest.

When I’ve received your form, I will get in touch to find out more and request photos.

2. Contract & Payment

I send you a contract detailing the work and what to expect. Read, sign and return the contract and make your payment. Once I have received payment, I’ll get to work. Yay!

Delivery cost will be depending on your location. I can deliver for free in the Bunbury 6230 area, postage is $10 within Australia. International postage will be calculated per commission.

Payments can be made online via credit card.

3. Arty time!

I will get started on your painting, first creating a pencil sketch and then adding layers of watercolour until the painting is complete.

As the paintings usually go through an ‘ugly’ stage, I don’t like to send progress pictures. You will get a nice surprise when I send you a photo of the finished piece. If you’d like to see the work in progess, let me know in your message.

Once you are happy with your painting, I’ll send the invoice for final payment and package your art ready for delivery.

4. Final approval and delivery

Once the art is finished, I will send you a photograph so you know what to expect.

Your work will be mounted and sent to your specified address within 1-2 working days.

I use tracked delivery so you can follow the progress and see when it should arrive.

Current timeframe to create your artwork: 2 weeks

About your pet

Eg: Chester likes to lie in daisies and watch butterflies. This is just to give me something to imagine while I paint, so I can capture the personality.
