If you’re interested in birds and nature like me, I have a fascinating video to share with you of a talking magpie.
I rushed outside my house to photograph and video a magpie I could hear singing in the tree, and noticed it was making odd noises. As I listened, I could make out barking noises similar to the neighbour’s dog!
The video I captured also has this clever bird mimicking kookaburras, a wattle bird and at one point early in the video it says hello. I was over the moon to share my garden with such an amazing impressionist.
Later in the week the bird was back in the tree, I said hello and it replied hello back.
Next time you are serenaded by a magpie, have a listen for other animal and bird sounds creeping in!
